2010 NEWS

5th September   Poodle Club of Victoria Obedience Trial: Athena has gained her 1st CCD pass and 4th in the ring at her 2nd obedience trial. This was with Marlene as her handler.
     
6-8th August   Albury Weekend

Athena: 3x NEUTER IN GROUP and 18pts for her Neuter title. She is now 1/2 way there,

Fabio: 3x DCC & 2x BOB with strong competition

Luna: no points but a JUNIOR IN GROUP with good competition

     
2-6th July   1 van - 2 std poodles - 10 days - 4 states - 5000+ kms

We decided that we needed another holiday so decided to go off and visit Alice Springs in the Northern Territory. Athena and Luna came with me. We didn't have a massively successful weekend but met some fantastic people and had a good social time. Thankyou to Elle for having me stay with you :)
     
16th May   We had a successful weekend of shows in Seymour with Luna. On Saturday she won a 9pt Best of Breed and on Sunday she won a 10pt Best of Breed + JUNIOR IN GROUP in a strong line up.

Also big congrats to my friend Tara on her gorgeous Dalmatian boy "Bond" (Jendally Never Say Never) gaining his GRAND CHAMPION title :)
     
17th April   Luna is now a CHAMPION @ almost 14 months old!!! She won her last few points today with a Best of Breed, shown in a traditional Lion trim (English Saddle).

Congratulations to her breeder Dawn Bennett on another Danrith Champion!

  

     
2nd-6th April (Easter)   Luna and I had another road trip, this time up to Sydney to stay with The Placketts (Placky Shihtzus). We had an uneventful Royal but had better luck at the NSW Poodle Specialty... She won her class out of 2 and then won junior of Breed over the 2 boys. Very happy with how she showed. Came home from the show and gave Luna a big girl haircut :) Watch out for her soon in English Saddle!

Fabio and Marlene won BOB and Australian Bred in Group in Melbourne on Good Friday (also a run for Best In Group) :)

28th Feb   We had a good weekend away in central Vic: Vegas 22pts 2x BOB, 1x ruBOB and an AUSTRALIAN BRED IN GROUP..... Luna 20pts, 1x BOB (over Vegas!), RuBOB and a JUNIOR IN GROUP. Luna now only needs 5 points for her title.
     
27th Jan   Luna and I decided to have a long weekend in Tasmania at the Western Tiers shows in the North. We had a great time chatting with the local poodle people. Luna's total for the weekend was 4 BOB's (24pts), and 3 PUPPY IN GROUPS!!! Luna now has 95 points, so she just needs 25pts once she is 12 months to gain her champion title.

   

     
15-17th Jan    Good long weekend away with Vegas in Benalla. He won a BEST IN GROUP, 2x Classes in Group and 3 BOB's (39pts).

 

2009 NEWS

Dec 09   Capanash Standard Poodles finishes off the year as:

# Vegas (Grd Ch Capanash Dark Illusion) is #1 Standard Poodle in Victoria (Best of Breed competition) and #5 Standard Poodle in Australia (Best of Breed competition)

# Luna (Danrith Moon Goddess) is #1 Standard Poodle in Victoria (Rising Star competition) and #5Standard Poodle in Australia (Rising Star competition)

Also Capanash is the ADVANCEŽ Best Breeder for Standard Poodles for 2009 :)

19th Dec   After a month off Luna wins Best of Breed and PUPPY IN GROUP!!!
     
21st/22nd Nov   We had a reasonabley successful weekend away in Portland:
SAT (am)- Fabio RuBOB/DCC (7pt), Luna ResCC + Puppy of Breed
SAT (pm)- Fabio 10pt BOB, Luna ResCC + Puppy of Breed
SUN- Fabio 8pt BOB, Luna RuBOB/BCC (7pt) + PUPPY IN GROUP!!!
     
25th Oct   Luna wins an 8pt challenge over adult competition.
     
25th Sept   Uneventful Melbourne Royal for Vegas and Luna, both won their classes but no further. Congratulations to all the winners! We managed to get some nice photos of Luna (when she decided to stand still).
     
12th Sept   Luna won MINOR IN GROUP against a strong line up of much older dogs at Belgrave & District KC under Ms L Norman.
     
28th August   Freya and Athena passed their temperament testing with flying colours. They will be involved in pet education in schools towards the end of 2009.
     
23rd August   Luna's 1st show as a minor and she won MINOR PUPPY IN SHOW at the Poodle Club of Victoria Open show. Then in the Breed Competition she won RUNNER UP IN COMPETITION (29 entries). Freya also won Best Groomed in the Fun classes (handled by Gracie).

7/8/9th August    We had a lovely wet weekend away showing in Albury. Luna is still learning how to behave in the ring. Vegas won a BOB and a Ru BOB. Freya had her debut as a Neuter and won 3x Neuter In Group and also went NEUTER IN SHOW.
     
August   Our website has finally had a makeover :)
     
13th June   Luna wins Baby In Group at her 1st show!
     
May   Freya gains the final pass for her Companian Dog Title, she is now CH Marlau Lucindas Princess CD CCD
     
April   Luna (Danrith Moon Goddess) has joined us from Dawn Bennett in Queensland.
     
March   Vegas gains his GRAND CHAMPION title.
